The 'Creative Science Playground' operated by the Cheongcheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Council as one of its community programs is receiving great response by providing children with opportunities for science experiences and education. It is particularly meaningful in that it has created a platform for communication as a program that parents can participate in together with their children.

The Cheongcheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Council planned a creative science experience program and signed a business agreement with Ganghwa Creative Experience Center in July 2024 for the rental of scientific equipment, and has been operating an autonomous creative science experience center. Subsequently, in July 2025, they welcomed about 300 visitors through a creative science pop-up booth held for two days at the Lifelong Learning Center within the Bupyeong-gu Youth Complex Cultural Center. Based on these achievements, Cheongcheon 1-dong has reopened and is operating the 'Creative Science Playground' since September, deploying dedicated educational staff on the second floor of the Administrative Welfare Center for elementary school students and preschoolers accompanied by guardians within the district. The 'Creative Science Playground' is one of various residents' autonomy programs, designed to allow local children and residents to directly experience and understand scientific principles they previously only encountered in textbooks and books, and to develop their creativity.

Various science experience equipment is installed on the second floor of the Center, and the equipment is replaced with new content every two weeks. In addition, through the talent donation of expert instructor Seo Byeong-jo, representative of Ganghwa Creative Experience Center with which an agreement was signed, experience guidance and science video education are also being conducted. On January 14, special lectures such as car making and coaching robot experience were held.

Prospective middle school students Yoo Seo-hyeon and Kim Yu-rim, who participated that day, said, "It was so much fun to think about the principles of cars and make them directly with friends," and "I think it will also help me find my career path in the future." They continued, "There were some difficulties, but if I have time, I would like to participate again." Another student expressed satisfaction, saying, "I hope today's experience will be useful later." Through the efforts of the Cheongcheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Council, which has developed the creative science experience program into the 'Creative Science Playground' and is operating it as a substantial program, curious science dreamers are freely spreading their wings of imagination through various experiences.
