Being developed with cultural area that is different from Incheon by the divided residential areas of Wonjuk Mountain (formerly known as Chulma Mountain) and Manwall Mountain, Bupyeong has formed an area of agricultural culture around Bupyeong Plain since the ancient times.

"Bupyeong Culture Festival" was held in 1997 in order to reconstruct Bupyeong's agricultural culture and expand its traditional customs. It is held in the months of May~June of every year so that everyone can enjoy and participate. This festival also enables guests from Asia to join with the fabulous performances being conducted.
